OUR MISSION
Fork Around and Find Out Collective LLC’s mission is to be a community space and food hub in Detroit bringing together chefs, farmers, food producers and educators to nourish our local food system.
OUR STOry
We started on the Winter Solstice in 2024 by a group of multicultural, Detroit women who had been working in community together and who believed in the power of food as medicine.

Celebrate the full moon with us at the Mid-Autumn & Harvest Moon Festival!!
This is a special moon in many native cultures because on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, the moon is at its fullest & brightest 🌝
In native cultures, each of the year's thirteen moons is represented by a row of kernels. Because mandamin (corn) relies completely on people to plant its seeds rather than propagating on its own, it reflects our own reliance on the harvest. This moon reminds us of our place in an ongoing cycle & moves us to provide for those who come next.
The Mid-Autumn Moon Festival is the second largest celebration in Chinese culture. It’s the perfect time for community to gather and share stories & myths (including the one of Chang’e, the moon goddess), enjoy delicious food from our fall harvest, dance to good music, maybe even recite some Chinese poetry, and definitely gaze the hell out of the moon.
There will be fire, Indigenous and Chinese music, bao buns & mooncakes, the best food in town, and more! Our friends at Vermilion Market are popping up with Pan-Asian snacks, groceries, and pantry staples, too (come fork around and find out ok??).
